Wow, Christian Lopez, the guy who caught Jeter's 3,000, hit didn't ask for anything in return. That's a true fan. However, in return, the Yankees hooked him up with four suite tickets through the World Series, front row tickets for tomorrow, and I think even more stuff.

Yeah, I assumed based on the comment that it was a weakly hit homer that only gets out of that stadium in rightish

The Padres and Dodgers have combined for 1/54 today.
              --------------------
              2/55

Dodger get their first hit with 2 out in the bottom of the ninth and now a chance to win.
              --------------------
And now they win. What a laugher.

Just noticed that former Yankee Chien-Ming Wang is finally pitching in games again. He's made three rehab appearances for the Nationals. In his first game he three innings giving up two runs. Since then, he's thrown nine scoreless innings over two starts. He is a former two-time 19-game winner, so maybe the two years the Nats have invested in him may finally pay off.
