I don't know if it's possible, but Ted Williams' achievements get seriously underplayed. His on-base streaks are more impressive and harder to achieve than DiMaggio's hit streak. Yet, they are rarely ever mentioned.

I mean Joe D got a hit in every game for a span that equates to a 1/3 of a season. I really don't see someone beating that feat.

I thought I read that Joe's brother had quite the hit streak going as well and Joe made a nice diving catch on him that ended up snapping his streak.
