Yu Darvish Speculation Thread

The next offseason, it is looking more and more likely that Japanese sensation Yu Darvish will be posted and subsequently make his way to America.

This could break records as far as posting fees goes, with all indications that his posting fee will eclipse the $51 million Dice K's former team got.

Some statistical analysis says this kid, just 24 I believe, will be one of the best pitchers in MLB over the first 5 years of his deal and is already statistically, one of the best in the world.

Now I doubt the Marlins win, not why I posted it. Actually, as far as I know they have never been the high bidder for a posted Nippon player. But this will arguably be the most high profile posted player, along with most expensive, ever.

Still pretty young too. I actually wondered if Daisuke Matsuzaka underperforming(kind of, still fairly decent) and Kei Igawa flopping completely will drive prices down but most likely not.

He can be an outright FA after 2013 season. If he stays till after he can get so much more money.
