Assuming it it's $20 mil per year, the red sox will be paying Crawford, Lackey, and Beckett 71 mil combined until 2014. They're gonna be a middle of the pack payroll with those three and A-Gonz.

I'm just amazed. Of all the teams, the Red Sox.

They're paying a guy who's never given you a .500 slugging percentage, or a .380 OBP, and only given you an OPS of .850 or better once (.851 - in 2010) and you just made him the highest paid OF in baseball history!
