Yea, I think the O's kinda got away with not giving up too much for Reynolds. Apparently everyone likes Hernandez, but I dunno, maybe he will be an amazing setup guy for them.

Man, I know he whiffs a lot, but don't you have to get more than that for legit a 40+ HR threat.

All I know is, Uggla deal in a vacuum looks a little better, and we made out like bandits for Maybin.

I wouldn't really say so. Maybin is about ~10 runs better on defense and ~10 runs better on the base paths. So if Reynolds is his career low-800 OPS and Maybin his ~.700 OPS, Reynolds isn't that much more valuable. Also keep in mind Reynolds 40 HR power was in a bandbox and now he's going to pitcher heavy AL East.

The main difference is of course money. Reynolds is 2y/13m to 3y/24m. Maybin is 5 years/15mish. Massive difference there.

Hernandez is also probably the best reliever of the bunch (His stats as reliever in AL east = cool, petco = boo) and just 1 year of service time. Though Webb's GB rates make me personally like him more and also just 1 year of service time.

What about Fred Lewis? Can he play CF? Hes a pretty good OBP, low-risk, speedy, lefty that could bat 8th and save us from the travesty that will be Coghlan in CF. He seems to have some interest from other teams but if he could play CF, I would assume that we should have a little bit of inquiry.
