Hermida would easily be the best bat off our bench right now. And maybe Florida is his comfort zone. Would take his .735 OPS for free.

I think it had less to do with Hermida being terrible and more to do with the FO seeing Ryan Kalish's progress and wanting to see what Kalish could do as a call-up. They could have made this move when (at the same time as) the Marlins called up Stanton if they really thought Hermida sucked, but they didn't. It really seems to me as being about Kalish and not Hermida.
