    • The Mets said after Sunday's game that David Wright would go on the disabled list with symptoms of post-concussion syndrome.
There's not going to be anything to play for next month, so the Mets might as well play it extra, extra safe with Wright. There are no quality alternatives in the minors, so Fernando Tatis will likely act as the regular third baseman. Aug. 16 - 4:12 pm et

Some reports saying he could be done for the year. Brutal year for the Mets

          • Logan Kensing was DFA'd by the Nats today. I'm sure that's Baker's fault, too.

For Kensing, this was the second time this year he has been DFA'd by the Nationals. The first time, in May, he cleared waivers, reported to Syracuse, and earned his way back to the big leagues. But since getting called up on July 20, Kensing has been hit hard almost without exception, posting an 8.16 ERA in 11 games (14-1/3 innings). After Kensing's latest outing, interim manager Jim Riggleman actually wondered aloud if the right-hander was tipping his pitches because he was getting hit so hard.

A's threw back to the Philly A's:

Bob Geren dressed like Connie Mack:

                      Hot.

More managers need to dress like that, complete with the hat. Total pimp look.
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.
