I was actually thinking this today. He really wasn't slumping before the injury. Probably wouldn't have been a bad idea to give him an extra day off and start Ichiro today.

Like that means anything. I think baseball players in particular don't discuss the full extent of their injuries. I'm happy Yelich is trying to fight through it. But a 15-day DL stint would've probably been smarter
