If you're focusing on stuff like Marmol and Gregg for train wreck, I don't like your definition of train wreck. Penny is silly and if there is reasoning behind the front office going with him, it's probably silly. But it's also pretty meaningless - not train wreck.

Giving Ricky Nolasco 4/$49 million is a train wreck. Uggla and BJ Upton for the Braves are train wrecks. Giving 1 year deals to Furcal and Marmol were dumb moves but I don't think train wreck is the right way to describe them.
