Looking at Twitter, some Mets beat writers note that Alderson was mad AFTER the game because there was no blocking call on Salty for the throw to end the 8th. I don't really understand the reasoning.

There was a bad call in the PIT vs CIN game earlier this week that was upheld on review but I thought catchers were allowed to block the lane when they have possession of the ball?

The throw beat Wright to the plate by like 5ft. If it was a bang bang play MAYBE. Also If you look at Salty on that play he is set up in front of the plate and his foot is close to the side of the plate. In no way was he blocking it.
