Creates a force out at every base, gets a probably weaker hitter up, and the extra baserunner really doesn't matter.

Longo's been crappy this season, but he's still a better hitter than James Loney.

I guess Cishek holds RHB to a .130 lower OPS than LHB. I'd say the other factors outweigh that.

Cishek is pretty dominant against RHH. The difference between Longoria and Loney against RHP is fairly small, Longoria is struggling this year, and now a walk ties the game.

Also creating a force play at every base seemed like the best move to win, and whatever the stats were I felt more comfortable with Cishek pitching to Loney than Longoria.
