              make me feel like people view the marlins as a temporary source of enterainment to carry them over from the offseason in the NFL

                    sure there nothing wrong with it. it just show why baseball isnt/wont be successful in miami. Because miami is a football town, and people view the marlins as the open-act entertainer for the headliner entertainer(the dolphins)

                        Baseball is a temporary source of entertainment until football for the following towns:

                        Oakland
                        Pittsburgh
                        Washington
                        Baltimore
                        San Diego
                        Seattle

                        That's just in the bottom half of the attendance numbers. Granted if any of those teams were in the playoff hunt it would be different but their not.
