        The gametracker said Mathis walked, then Fernandez hit an RBI single. I'm sure Mathis didn't score from first on a single, so anyone watching care to fill me in?

          Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I thought Fernandez homered when it said "in play, run(s)"

                Fernandez hit a ball in the gap that could/should have been a double (allowing Mathis to score from first), but Fernandez stayed at first, making it a single.
