mattingly needs to be fired already or this season will be another dreadful one. He's simply terrible at his job. There is no plausible explanation for not firing him, and there is still no plausible explanation for why the fuck he was brought back yet again this year. Ive never heard of something so stupid as what they did with his option last year where they made the deadline to exercise the option for this year in the middle of the season last year. So essentially their options were to exercise his option for next year when he's a terrible manager or to decline the option and leave yourself with a lame duck manager the rest of the year. It is the absolute height of stupidity. Whoever negotiated that clause in don's contract should leave with him.
