    • You have a 14 person staff there. Which is fine. I think they should make the 28 man rosters permanent.

I miss how it and the brighter colors made the park unique, rather than the more generic theme that exists now, but not necessarily the sculpture itself.

        • The walls were snot green. That is not ideal.

I'm not saying we need to return to the bright green and exact colors that were used before, just that something more unique than navy blue and gray would be nice for a Miami ballpark......but then again, this is the same group that made black the team's primary color and refuses to give even a blue alternate jersey.

            • I didn’t watch the game but the recap says we got absolutely smoked yesterday

Trevor was terrible. 7 earned runs in 1.2 innings.

I was happy to see that Anderson got 3 hits. He desperately needed that. He saved Donnie, too, because…..

              Berti/DLC went a combined 1 for 7

              • In my opinion, sitting Sanchez and Jazz when they are healthy is dangerous business at best. Unlike the bigger names with bigger contracts, Jazz and Jesus are intent on building success at this early stage of their careers. They are the team's dynamos. There is simply no way that they don't feel resentment. To them (and me) sitting out vs. a lefty is a vote of no confidence from their manager. If sitting Jazz vs lefties becomes the norm, he will be asking for a trade before you know it.

                • The two very recently former Marlins that stay on my watch list are Antonio Velez and Connor Scott. Due to his real progress and still tender age, I thought Scott would have been the guy to keep from that crowded crop of outfielders the Marlins had.. Thus far, in AA, Scott is hitting .550 BA, .640 OBP and 1.450 OPS in his first six games. Velez should be making his second AA start today. Kyle Nicolas is perhaps another that should be watched. He also makes his second start today.

We should've been out of the first inning with only 1 run given up, and could've changed the whole thing. I didn't see after that, though, and obviously Rogers didn't do well. Don also pulls his usual shenanigans of completely changing the lineup the day after it has success.

                          • Interesting note: Sanchez and Chisholm have exactly half of the team HR and RBI between the two of them.

                            • great series. Hopefully it carries over to the 3 game set against the cardinals with Luzardo and Sandy and pablo going.

sanchez has picked up exactly where he left off to end last year. If he can be anywhere close to this offensively they made the right move not trading the farm for a guy like reynolds. Doesnt at all excuse them from the pathetic lack of spending on bullpen and another FA hitter, but he has been really good and not disastrous in CF.

3 best trades this regime has made are the sanchez trade, ozuna deal, and gallen for Jazz.

Mattingly needs to stop benching these kids against lefties. Its fucking moronic. How can you expect players to prove they are more than platoon guys if you don't give them the chance to develop against lefties. Play your best players.

Lineup is starting to pick it up though. Aguilar and Garcia and Soler have been far below their expectations and will positively regress to the mean soon as well so if jazz and sanchez can be anywhere near this productive moving forward, they have enough to contend for a playoff spot, especially with this rotation once meyer is up here. That rotation is going to be stupid good.

                              • also im not sure how much of de la cruz is real, but he has been nothing but productive when given an opportunity and he seems to give the lineup a spark every time he plays. He shouldn't be playing everyday but if Soler or Garcia continue to struggle, de la Cruz has certainly earned more playing time.
