I dont see the harrison comparison at all. Monte is a strike out machine, Jo adell is not. Brinson i can see but again, just because brinson hasn't worked out doesn't mean every CF prospect who puts up numbers in the minors is going to not work out.

as far as SS's are concerned, if we are going to trade pitching for bats, id rather it attack CF and C exclusively. To me, the SS position can be filled via Rojas/free agency the next few years until we see who out of the long list of young SS's in our system pan out between nasim Nunez, Devers, Watson when he signs, Cappe, Salas, Ian Lewis, etc. And there are good young SS's coming into FA every year now if we do choose to ever spend big on a bat. Trea Turner would be my dream signing next offseason if we ever decide to spend in free agency.
BA is super high on nasim nunez and called him the best defensive SS in the minors the other day and put him 10th or so in our system. If he can ever add strength to become even league average in terms of power he is going to be really good.

Harrison has struck out in 47% of his MLB PA. 32.3% of his PA at AAA this year.
It's not that far off.

monte is also 3 years older in AAA this year. And adell has better pure power. Monte has 65 career minor league hr's, 90 2b's, and 16 3b's in 2037 career minor league ab's, adell has 55 career minor league hr's, 85 2b's, and 16 3b's in only 1201 minor league ab's.

-Padres have to do something with what LAD is doing, so you send them Pablo and Aguilar and take back Campusano (the target), Hassell (their # 4 prospect, back end top 100 quality), other lower prospects outside their top 5 (not going into detail here, but 2-3 FV 45/40 guys they like are coming back here), and the kicker and how this gets done........... agree to absorb some of Eric Hosmer (he is owed 4/$59 somehow + the remainder of this year which is probably like $8m). I think San Diego needs to send over $40+ million dollars here, so this becomes a situation of the Marlins absorbing around $20-25 million (which they can afford spread out over 4+ seasons which is my overall point here). That's some real value for the Padres, as they've effectively traded Hosmer's salary for what Pablo is going to get in arbitration which is massive for them as Hosmer sucks. They can live without all the prospects, but this has gotta hurt them somehow which is what trading Campusano does. They can pray old friend Nola holds up for a few years. This is crazy, but this franchise won by paying Mike Hampton to play somewhere else. Absorb some Hosmer, get Campusano, and that problem is sort of solved for 3+ years as he's going to be given every chance to succeed with his prospect stature.
-Send the Orioles an entire 6 man starting rotation - Pablo, Meyer, Cabrera, Elisier, Garrett, and one of Thompson/Poteet/Neidert - for Adley and Mullins. Marlins carry on with Sandy, Rogers, Sixto, Lazardo, and whoever is left of Thompson/Poteet/Neidert scraping innings, with fingers crossed Eder, Nicolas, and McCambley work out behind them. Tell the Orioles go buy some bats ya filthy animals
In reality, I am thinking they sign someone like Tucker Barnhardt in free agency (they are going roll forward with Stephenson. for sure), and try and trade for a better 2B/SS and CF. Ruiz was certainly the guy to get, but not even Pablo as centerpiece compares to Max and Trea. We'll see.
