id go with just about any good bullpen arm over a young pitcher making his way through their great lineup for the 4th time. Sometimes shit just happens so I have no problem starting him off in the 7th but if riley gets a stupid fucking hit like he did you gotta get a new look in there for acuna.

The braves bullpen is so ridiculously good.

I dont know. The way I think about it was Sandy was cruising coming into that inning. Somebody getting a bleeder base hit changes nothing.

ya i can see your point of view and honestly i dont completely disagree. Im usually in favor of pushing our young pitchers. this braves lineup is just different to me.

Sandy made great pitches. Just got unlucky. Baseball is like that some times. We could've brought someone else in and Acuna goes deep.

upgrading C and getting 1-2 more veteran bullpen arms has to be the priority in the offseason. Alfaro is just a bad player. He is miguel olivo with somehow worse plate discipline. You just cant be a good team with a guy like that playing everyday. Trade from the OF or SP depth and get a stop gap for a few years. Or go all in and sign JT back

what in the world was the logic behind pinch hitting alfaro there? Just because he's a catcher? The guy cant hit himself out of a wet paper bag and in the biggest AB of the year we go to him?

If i'm the marlins i try to see what it would take to get keibert ruiz from the dodgers. a top C prospect, they already have will smith, so they might be willing to trade him for another position (OF or SP?)

also, im good on stanek in a marlins uniform. not sure if he is arbitration eligible next year but if so he can go. he's just not good
