edward cabrera. rogers and garrett were 5x less deserving than him and after their first few times out it was obvious this was going to happen. if cabrera was healthy enough to be on the taxi squad he was healthy enough to pitch today or yesterday. then you go into the fucking awful lineup construction almost every game this year, and then you get into the bullpen usage and management throwing game after game with the duggers and josh smiths of the world in close games and he has blown and actively put this team into worse positions game after game. he is a truly awful manager and he has had the same issue for years now. if you want a clubhouse presence make him the fucking bench coach, if you want someone who is going to give you a strategic advantage hire a real fucking manager.

I'm not convinced we're going to see Cabrera at all.

so you think mattingly is good in terms of both lineup construction and bullpen management?

I think the backend of the bullpen has been fine. Don’t really have many complaints with how he’s handled it. Considering what happened with Covid and the talent in our bullpen, how do you have a problem with it? What has he done that’s so wrong? Is it because he overused Yamamoto for a game? You can’t use the same relievers over and over again every game. Blame Yamamoto for sucking.

they deserve to lose this game with this decision making. from lineup construction to choosing rogers over cabrera despite this blow up being obvious, this is a blow up that didnt have to happen. a manager and front office who has actively put their team in a position to lose. if we pull this game out great, but it will be in spite of the management.

The bullpen usage has been horrific. he has blown or given up on games consistently throughout the 2 month year by his horrendous bullpen usage. and its been a constant theme for his 4 years here. he uses his worst arms at awful times and uses his best arms at the least needed times. he is an awful manager and we shouldnt be surprised if they replace him.
