I mean, they are certainly a lot more talented than this shit. On paper, this team is significantly better than the 2009 team that won 87 games. They should be better than this. MUCH better.

The catching situation has become terrible.
There is no depth.
Young hitters we were counting on like Morrison and Gaby have regressed.
And the pitching, while not bad, is simply not that great to overcome terrible hitting.
Everyone knew Zambrano wouldn't keep up what he was doing and Nolasco does the same thing every year. We expect him to live up to his peripherals and then he puts up ERA's near 5 on a consistent basis.
We have a -73 run differential...

So how would you evaluate the talent on the team then?
The bottom of the lineup is talented?
Also, players regress.
Just a question here, I don't know where to find the answer. Last year, much of Logan Morrison's value came from an increase in power. His .ISO #'s are down again this year.
I know this has been done and the #'s say that the HR #'s are basically the same in our new ballpark but has it any effect on left-handed hitters and their power #'s? It seems like it's been more difficult for lefties.
Anyway Bobbob, I'm not saying they're 2-15 bad, but you, yourself, said back in April that you didn't think this team could overcome a bad start. What are you expecting the rest of the way?
