Anyway

This is the sort of loss, coming after a compelling, hard-fought game, that I would be almost okay with, if only I had any respect for the opponents.

If we played this sort of game against, say, the Braves, or the Giants, I would at least be comforted by the fact that the hated rivals were worthy rivals, with a real fanbase who had followed the game as closely and enthusiastically as I had, and got something out of their team’s ultimate victory.

But no, we just lost this one to a contrived, disgusting, odious circus that holds its own scant fans and new home city in contempt.
