His BB% is right in line with his career average.
His .BABIP has room for some improvement, but it's basically just back to life.
His power is down this year, but he never had much power to begin with anyway.

He's not a good hitter.

Even his awesome "intangibles" have sucked this year.

Over his last five seasons prior to this, a stretch of 1500 PAs, Infante has BABIPs of .355, .339, .327, .316, and .328. I think it's safe to say there's 40+ points of regression to be expected on his BABIP, especially considering his LD rate isn't off at all from his career rates.

He's not a good hitter. His last few years were way over what we could have expected.

But he's certainly better than this. To say this is who he is is stupid.
