    • Why was the perfect game bullshit? And why does that have anything to do with email tuesday?

      • Hope that 6th run scores to make Vazquez line look even worse.

        Whatever it takes to get him the hell out of here.

        Do what the Yankees did with Phil Hughes and call it a "dead arm" or something.

          Yeah. Hard to imagine him being able to catch the ball in traffic or beating the press

            Because email tuesday sucks, and because Halladay threw pitches clearly out of the zone on 3-2 counts to the first (Coghlan) and third (Hanley) hitters of the ball game.

                    I heard that he was considered a WR/DB prospect. The only thing more ridiculous than someone Stanton's size being a DB would be how "smooth" his backpedal was.

                    • Uh, Tommy, we've had lefty starters the last few years. It's just that those lefty starters (Hendrickson, Robertson, Miller, West) have all sucked versus the Philles.

                        Coghlan's at bat.

                        Hanley's at bat.

                        There were no pitches in either that were called strikes that were "clearly" out of the strike zone. One was right on the corner to Coghlan. The only clearly incorrectly called pitch was the first pitch to Hanley, a called ball that was in the strike zone.

                        • We need to start hitting their batters.

                            No way he could have played DB. He would have eventually been moved to tight end. Probably before his sophomore year.

                            • Just an FYI, Javy's line tonight;

                              4.1 IP, 9 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 0 K, 1 HR, 6.88 ERA. 75 pitches, 44 strikes. Also charged with the error on that missed catch at the plate.

                                He played WR/TE at his high school.
