Berkman was aggressive...what else could have Dunn done.

And if he pulled JJ before that and the bullpen gave up the runs people would say he should left JJ in. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Shit happens... they are also the highest scoring team in the NL, they can hit. A split isn't the end of the world.

IMO, Johnson should have faced Theriot...then Choate should have been used to get Rasmus...followed by Hensley/Webb to pitch to Pujols/Holliday...and if necessary Dunn to face Berkman...leaving Nunez, Sanches, Mujica, non-Webb/Hensley for the 9th and beyond if necessary.
I believe Edwin was quoted by the idiots as saying "The entire bullpen is available today."
Though he did not act like it.

On second thought, JJ should have pitched till a runner got on...then we should have had Choate and Hensley/Webb ready.Last edited by TealMonster08; 05-05-2011, 04:13 PM.

But I'm not gonna kill Edwin for it, because I can absolutely see why you'd want him in.

It was a similar situation with Vazquez yesterday, he got burned by cheap hits but everyone agreed he should have been out before the inning began anyways.
Edwin didn't really do anything wrong there.
It's not wrong to bring in Choate to face Rasmus, etc., but this is a silly one to question.
