Ball drops in front of #Marlins Mike Stanton for a hit. Stanton told me b4 game he can't get to every ball due to lingering hamstring issues

Then, like Mainge said, he shouldn't be out there. That was pretty much a routine play.

I'll gladly let a first inning bloop happen to have his presence in the lineup. Some teams have awful OFers with no range, see the Giants LF/RF.

Yeah but if he can't get to a ball like that, that tells me he's not even close to 100% and might risk re-aggravating the injury.

They stated he was "70-75%" which was why they said he probably won't play full games.

John Buck's picture is up on the scoreboard instead of Wallace's.

Ooo now we can get out of this inning with minimal structural damage.

If he is actually unable to reach that ball, what ball can he catch?

                          Is the shield down?

I'm gonna be honest though; I'm not sure I want Stanton playing at 70-75% in April. If this were the middle of the summer, then sure, but the last thing we need is to lose him for a longer period of time.

                              He caught a few yesterday.

Han will have that shield down, we just have to give him more time!
