Javy done for the day. 4IP 8 H 5 ER 4 K 2 HR's given up. He left 2 men on base after leaving just now in the 5th without getting an out. so state line might change if Garate can't hold them.
          --------------------
Salty has been on fire today for Boston. Another double for him (2nd of the day with a HR) and add an ER to Javy's line.

Boni finally joins in on the hitting parade and gets an RBI-single. Everyone that started got a hit now.
              --------------------
Hanley 3/3 with 2 doubles RBI and a walk. Done for today as well.
              --------------------
Stanton decides he wants to spend some time on the bases and hits an RBI single 3/4 now.

Probably gonna have to live with the fact that once every 4 starts, both Javy and Ricky are gonna get tagged for a bunch of XBHs. It's part of the package, and you just take the other 3 mostly dominant starts with it, hopefully.

Stanton's shot reportedly would have gone 500+ feet if this hadn't been in the way

Is that a dent in the 760?

“I quit watching,” marveled Sox manager Terry Francona. “At some point, I just quit.”

For reference, that scoreboard is in centerfield, but it's ~60 behind the wall.
