I think Mientkiewicz and Petersen are more tied together.

I have no doubt Mientkiewicz is on the roster by June 1, and I'm pretty much OK with that.

I am not so sure I would be OK with it if it comes at the expense of Maybin's roster spot. Beaten the horse to death, but there's nothing left for him to do at the minor league level; pulling the plug on him needs to be for something that isn't a temporary plug.
