JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Marlins second baseman Dan Uggla left Friday's game against the team's Double-A affiliate in the second inning with an apparent injury to his left hand.
There was no word from the club on the diagnosis of the injury.
Uggla was hit in the hand by Jacksonville Suns starter Todd Doolittle in the top half of the inning, then jogged to first base before manager Fredi Gonzalez checked on him and removed him from the contest. Donnie Murphy checked in as the pinch-runner and replaced Uggla at second base.
The 30-year-old Uggla finished Grapefruit League play batting .197 (12-for-61) in 21 games.
I ws there. Uggla looked allright, just precautionary...however Brian Sanches also got injured warming up before his scheduled inning..something in the upper leg/groin area...looked sketchy. Stanton bombed. the Suns winned. Scott Strickland sucks. The End.

Do you remember the count on Stanton's homer? And what it looked like? Line drive? Majestic bomb?
Wes Helms almost had a triple. Got thrown out on a close call. I don't think he was running as fast as he could towards the end though (which isnt very fast to begin with).
