Another thing that’s beneficial is to not discuss it.

Because at the end of the day, no one’s mind in this thread will be changed.

I’ve done my research. It’s also hard to ignore the countless examples caught on video of white people not only not complying, but brandishing weapons at officers, yet nothing happens. If you want to pretend the rules are the same for everyone, go right ahead. But they flat out aren’t.

And that’s not even getting into the ridiculousness of suggesting not complying should lead to being killed. That’s not what these guys are trained to do. Or the fact that black people get stopped at a higher rate, often for doing nothing wrong, so they are asked to comply more often and in many cases (like this one) have every right to feel like they shouldn’t comply.

There have been some ridiculously poor examples of judgement made by cops over the years. There is no doubt about it.

That, unfortunately, will happen when there are millions and millions of interactions between police and citizens every year.

Except weren't you the one that just talked about accountability? Where is that at then, when cops with "poor examples of judgement" that leads to the murder of innocent people walk around as free men?

I agree 100% that criminal prosecution of bad cops needs major reform.

on a lighter note cooper and yimi garcia are back tonight. logan forsythe mercifully put on the 60 day il and guzman back down to jupiter. Yimi garcia is going to be a very welcomed return. I thought he was going to end up as our closer at some point this year but every quality bullpen arm helps us.

looks like we've got sixto tonight, pablo tomorrow, and sandy sunday according to reports. that's a hell of a trio for this series. we're finally getting all our guys back.

so our future rotation is going to be absolutely nasty. Sandy, Sixto, and Lopez already here and then you have cabrera, meyer, neidert, elieser, rogers, garrett, guzman.

given the uncertain economic times id try to sign villar to a 3-4 year mid sized deal. he would be a nice contingency plan at a number of positions. he does some annoying stuff but he can fill a number of needs for the next 3-4 years

Sad to see a solid start go to waste. Overall, it was rather pathetic. These last two games represented opportunity lost ... and maybe a playoff spot.

Bright spots in Elieser with his incredible 8/1 K/W ratio. Pablo blossoming. Sanchez making a successful leap to majors. And Rogers looking rather awesome. Maybe Yimi and Vezia will turn the pen around.
Lest we forget, a healthy Edward Cabrera is every bit of Six-tons equal too. And Neidert showed huge potential in the Fall League as well.

Per the rumor, I'd love to see the Marlins cast Jordan Holloway to BALT for Givens. Givens has another year of control (arbitration).

Givens is 30 years old and has a FIP over a run higher than his ERA and coming off a year where his ERA was over 4.

I did....I was gone a week, but the Marlins being so pathetic brought me back.

Show me the Bat this makeover has produced ? Other teams top hitting prospects come up & are stars right away....Soto, Alonso, etc But Brinson, I Diaz, L Diaz, Sanchez, Harrison, every single one has flopped....

You can have a spectacular pitching staff, but if you don't score runs, you can't win. And it also puts so much pressure on the pitchers to be perfect, it then affects their pitching as well.

And penny pinching has brought us free agents that their bats go dead once they get here.....it's almost comical if it wasn't so sad.

1-7 at home and looking like 1-8..... how do you grow a fan base this way ?

Trade deadline tomorrow. I think they deal urena and I could see a case for villar being moved as well if they don’t want to sign him to a multi year deal at the end of the year
