It makes. Those guys hang around AT LEAST 3-4 hours every game, plus they must practice, pitch together. Who do you think that the 2 coaches that got it are? Maybe one of the coaches got it and it was like a super spreader.

Marlins are now scheduled to play Tuesday at Baltimore. They have 13 healthy players still in Philly (11 up and 2 on taxi squad), they’ve claimed 3, signed 2 and traded for 1. That still leaves room for 11 more, many of whom will come from Jupiter (the alternate site).

• Another bullpen arm! That makes 6 RPs added since the outbreak.

Cleveland has traded RHP James Hoyt to the marlins
in exchange for cash. Hoyt was designated for assignment on July 28.

• The weird thing about this is that our bullpen might be better now than it was before.

Outside of Kintzler, Garcia, and perhaps Boxberger, there probably isn't a huge difference. According to the O's GM, the Marlins were trying to get Bleier since spring training.

Bleier is already an upgrade for us, and some of these other guys have upside. Morin is capable of getting outs, he has an elite changeup at least.

I wonder if they try to pick up more guys like Hunter Strickland or Kelvin Herrera.

Ya Bleier is here for 2 or 3 years at least. They tried to get him since November with Villar-Marlins wouldnt pay the price. Marlins NOW paid whatever price they had on him so they did the trade. The player is ALREADY agreed to(they cant announce due to rule for this year)unless season is cancelled which then would be $$$

why was bleier available? his numbers were phenomenal in the majors aside from last year.
Because Baltimore is 3 years away at least and Marlins supposedly paid up for him. On brightside we now can move on from Conley in a few weeks

Devers might be a slap hitter(FYI has the best hit tool in Marlins minors) right now but he will be on the 40 man next year and if he is hitting .330+ in AA next year he will get a hard look. Already elite defense at 2B

They are looking at Strickland/Bashlor/Dany Jimenez/Chacin/Jurado/Terrence Gore and calling teams to see if guys can be had for cash

Need about 5 more guys still for roster

Bleier spent a year in the Yankees system in 2016, so no surprise they were interested. With Veisa and Tarpley, they can certainly move on from Conely now.

Not a great group unless they just need bodies at this point. Chacin might be fine if they need a starter for a turn or 2.

I just hate when they trade PTBNL but they have surplus of OF and P in lower minors. Conley gone by Sept 1 is great tho

• It'll be interesting to see who is available on the roster. So far Mish has the only confirmed healthy players are Villar and Aguilar, but did say the offense should be mostly OK. Barry Jackson mentioned that a couple of key relievers are healthy, but gave no names.

I would be fine with Strickland OR Bashlor and Ariel Jurado. Jurado is 24 and has been a SP but more LR/6th SP type. He also has options

I could see us take Chacin and Jimenez tho as more the FO type. Jimenez is a Rule 5 RP who hits 96

Heard same thing I quote- at least 1 older white guy is negative(Dickerson?Knitzler? Box?) Heard we have 3 or 4 SP right now as well

Hearing they are adding
Monte
Brinson
Joyce
Yamamoto
Alvarez
Venditte
WIlkin Castillo OR Lavarnway(maybe BOTH but more likely 1 is for taxi squad)
Snider
Forysthe

Possibly-Josh A Smith/Eveld or Vincent

NOTE-1 C(Likely Wilkin)/Venditte/1 other guy are likely TAXI squad bound. Wont be used or added to 40 man unless needed

They would prefer NOT to add Eveld or Vincent but might have to. NO big name prospects

It would be great if Dickerson is healthy and they can have Dickerson/Monte/Joyce/Brinson in the OF. If Anderson isn’t available at 3rd, I’m not sure who plays there, but they seem to have the rest of the INF covered with Villar/Aguilar/Forsythe/Alvarez. Having a 3 or 4 starters and Yamamoto could also be survivable for now. None of this is good, but I’ll be excited to at least see Monte get his shot. And may as well take one more look at Brinson.

Could be more than 1 of them-buddy said at least 1

Forysthe can play 2B or 3B

Per a source, the #Marlins had all negative COVID-19 tests again today. Also told the team will also head to Baltimore today ahead of its three-day, four-game series against the Orioles set to start on Tuesday.

• Some of these outlets are reporting different things- did we have no new tests or did all of the people who tested positive before test negative today? Those are two completely different things
