.234/.274/.320 line in 500+ ABs and is below average defensively. And is 32.

I expect he would've come back down to earth eventually in enough PAs. I'd like to see Heineman get first shot at the backup job next year, but knowing this organization, and the fact that his dad's on the coaching staff it'll probably be Wallach.

Wallach was really good early in the year. He and Heineman are a good backup plan for what could be another full tank shit show.

He will likely be back in Feb on Minors deal if he can't find other stuff

Wallach is who knows? Dad is not around and concussion issues still

Heineman is probably AAA C. He can hit but just isnt a Mattingly backup wouldnt be surprised if they looked at Rule 5 Draft for someone as NOTHING in minors until Fortes in High A
