I was referring to after the year. IF you can get a top far systems top 3-4 guys i highly think of it this offseason. I understand Jose is great but if we have no hope of signing him i trade him sooner rather than later so were not trading him at the last possible moment to where our return is minimized because he is an upcoming free agent. To me, that is what next offseason is all about.

Jose is staying unless he rejects extensions and says trade me. They spent the offseason checking the market out for him-Arizona,LAD and Boston were Top 3

However if we do trade him,we wont be getting "prospects" for him as the main guys(Maybe 2 or 3 others in the deal would be prospects). Arizona we wanted Corbin and ML Ready Guys. LAD we wanted Seager and Urias. Boston we wanted Moncada and ML Guys. The only real prospect on that list is Moncada and Jeff wanted him as a FA however since he ain't spend 60 million on an unproven guy.(#1 Prospect right now)
