The main reason they didn't want to trade Prado in the first place is because he's under contract next season for a reasonable salary. So trading him because they sign McGehee for the rest of the season makes little to no sense, even for the Marlins.

They are telling teams no on Prado cause of his contract next year but with Casey back they are open to the idea of dealing him if the package is nice in return
