I'm assuming this is insurance in case Haren decides to retire. If so, I don't think it will be a guy like Peavy. If Peavy was their guy, that would've leaked out already. Has to be a lower caliber SP. I wish it was Pesvy or Shields so they would actually "use" the money they got from LAD.

Morneau is probably still very capable of putting up at least an .820 OPS against righties, so at the right cost, I'd be fine with it.

But we won't platoon him with Baker, which will be annoying.

Not that Cueto or a healthy Latos isn't better than Eovaldi, but at some point isn't it worth keeping 3 years of Eovaldi service time (let alone other parts and money used in acquiring someone else from here)
