Yea, don't like it. If it was Keuchel I'd be more into it as I have confidence in him.
I'd rather risk Moran and Marisnick's potential, rather than hoping Cosart hits his ceiling and these two fringe likely bench guys are not doing much. Let alone the first round pick.
WTF are they going to do at 3B, and don't say McGehee
Also, Cosart opens them up to trading Alvarez or Eovaldi when Fernandez gets back (if not offseason if they think Hand/Turner can hold a rotation spot). I'm sure they'll target a young IF bat with that.

It's funny to think the Marlins front office was likely more down on Moran than I was. I've started to come around given the hit tool is still ok but he never had any real impact on the games he played (funny enough yesterday was the first day I saw him have an extra base hit, let alone a home run in what seemed like quite a while).
Marisnick has a lot of potential but feels like one of those toolsy guys who might never figure it out at the plate. At worst he becomes a slightly better hitting version of Brett Carroll, which isn't too bad, but there's likely still some work that can be done with his bat.
Even with all the crap I give Moran I'm surprised they gave him up for Cosart, a guy who really hasn't been that good this year. Doesn't usually give up more than 3 runs a start, which is great, but it doesn't look like he goes too deep into starts and he walks batters. Hernandez as a prospect looks like somebody that we bought really high at. Really mediocre prospect for years until he broke out this year and seems very close to MLB ready. I like the idea since he's 22 and producing great at AAA, but I can't just look at every other season he's had at the minors and say this year is the real deal.
Haven't seen anything on Wales yet.
