I like that they are cutting the shlubs and going with the young arms with upside, but this is not contending.

They need a veteran SP ASAP and get DeScalfani back in the minors, no offense to him but they need greater probability of consistency and innings potential. Heaney and Koehler are going to work the bullpen enough.

Marisnick with a base hit! He has 17 stolen bases in Triple-A. I wish he was an infielder.

I wonder what trade value Brantly has. I wonder if Brantly and one other would get Hammel or a decent starter.

I have to imagine Brantly doesn't carry much value.

But a catching-needy team like Chicago or Tampa may be interested in a young, left-handed hitting catcher, right?

Brantly has no value now. Realmuto is our catching prospect with the most value.

Brantly is hitting .269/.303/.366 in the Pacific Coast League this year.

I'm sure teams are blowing Jennings phone up trying to acquire him

0 value, could probably get a prospect for him from a team that needs a 3rd String Catcher in AAA(just in case but that's it)

Brantly is like Hand and Turner tho. They have barely any value however if u DFA any of them they are gone. Alot of other teams could use them
