Gonna go ahead and say Eovaldi had pretty damn close to his best stuff today, two out of the first four hitters excepted.

Eovaldi has thrown 65% of his pitches in the strike zone this season.

Carlos Silva was the last pitcher to reach that mark for a full season, back in '05.

That's what makes me wonder if he can sustain this. It's so out of nowhere. However, he's also got far better stuff than Silva, so maybe it can keep working.

There is also, even if he regresses he is still a # 3. Which would be wonderful.

I think the K #s suggest its not chance. Hopefully his stuff stays this good. I think his size is good enough to allow his velocity to remain high over the years
