The whole combination of his backstory, his attitude, the perfect timing of it, and the fact he is REALLY FUCKING GOOD makes it hard for him not to already be my favorite ever.


The timing thing really can't be understated. We all REALLY needed something to be happy about with this team last year and then there he was.


He's our first true superstar in this new modern in your face era too. He trends on twitter every time he starts. That instant reaction type stuff you didn't get when Miggy was blowing up, or Dontrelle.

Stanton has his moments of that, but Jose is already the face of the franchise.
