If Hanley tried to play but Fredi scratched him, what exactly did Hanley do wrong?

              Yay.
First off: Yay, patience. Maybin = Reggie Abercrombie because minor league numbers (And consistent minor league success) < one bad month in the majors. God, rereading your "he jumps high" thing is making me way more angry than it probably should, but it's really fip-esque. Just awful.

Second of all: Yay, 7 year contract that doesn't really escalate until we get into the new stadium.

Thirdly: We did with Hanley what we should have done with Miggy and bought him out under market value. We weren't going to have Miggy for more than two years anyways. We have Hanley for 6 more. The two are completely incomparable. Uggla is going to be the guy who isn't going to be here next year, not Hanley.

I know you're the neighborhood skeptic and all, but that's a pretty terrible logical conclusion.

I thought that was Hanley saying he didn't need to, not Uggla saying he did.

Ahem....grow the fuck up...if your hurt, your hurt...we have 25ish other baseball players who should be able to compete without Papa Hanley to take care of things...who gives a shit, just go win...

Actually, that was Hanley talking about the arbitration thing.

And the diva part about not telling fredi was his cutting the reporter off and not letting him finish the question.

                      I read it like this:

I’ve got to set my numbers for arbitration this year? You think? Do I need to?"

This is what happens when teams realize they suck and they're not going to make a serioius push for the playoffs like they and their fans thought they would.

Things will be back to normal in Spring Training.

Here's a little more on the fight...

Hanley Ramirez is at odds with double play partner Dan Uggla and other teammates over Ramirez's percieved lack of desire and commitment to winning.Uggla also accused Ramirez of not caring because he's already secured a $70 million contract. Ramirez and Uggla openly argued in the clubhouse about why Ramirez really exited Tuesday's rain delayed game in the fourth inning. Ramirez complained about teammates showing him up when he came out because of cramping in his left hamstring. Uggla admitted to being among those players that threw up their arms in resignation. Ramirez is hitless in his last 14 at-bats and has stuggled recently with runners in scoring position, going 2 for his last 17. Ramirez has no doubt some teammates feel like he faked the injury to preserve his National League-leading batting average, a claim he feels is insulting.
Hanley Ramirez, Dan Uggla exchange verbal barbs

Sounds like our team is a bunch of whiny bitches.

This would conceivably be a problem. If there's a widespread belief among the team that Hanley's dogging it, that's a huge problem, regardless of whether he is actually milking the injury.

That's no reason to go crazy and trade him or anything like that, because it's not like Hanley's the only guy in baseball history not to (allegedly) get along with his teammates. And I'm sure he's not even the only guy on the team that others (allegedly) resent. But it's never good to have a split clubhouse.

Hey, when does Fredi get blamed for not stepping up to prevent a fractured team?

I WANT TO TYPE IN CAPS AND OVER-REACT TOOO

give me a break, sorry but players do this stuff all the time behind the scenes in every sports arguements disputes you name it.

is he hurt? who knows only he knows his body.

Hanley has never shown himself to be like the other ramirez (manny). I dont see that starting now.

it will blow over in no time.
