Lol Andrew Baggarly (Giants beat reporter) says to net Nolasco, Giants have to give up Brown and Hembree (rated as their top 2 and 5 prospects in the system). I wish he was the GM.

Also, he says that maybe they can get both Nolasco and Stanton. This guy is comical. Giants system is ranked top 17. If they traded their entire top 10, I do not think it will compensate for Stanton.

The reason why SF is the favorite is because they have stuff that we really like.Clayton Blackburn,Chris Stratton,Martin Agosta are 3 names that we like however if they did include Hembree or Susac as the 2nd prospect in the deal it would prolly be a done deal. More than likely tho it the deal will be either Blackburn/Stratton/Agosta plus a lesser project prospect like we got with McGough,DeScalfani,Flynn(OK guys who we really like)

We are asking tho for 2 prospects for Nolasco with 1 of them being a Top SP Prospect

Did his stock rise that much over the period of 6-7 months? If so, genius job by the F.O.

Yep during the Winter Meetings they couldn't give him away like Heath Bell however right now they have 8 teams talking to us about him. The contract helps to tho, teams only have to pay about 6 million instead of 12 million.

Not sure they are gonna be able to get 2 Nice Prospects for him tho a more likely deal is gonna be 1 of Blackburn,Stratton,Agosta,Susac,or Hembree AND a lesser prospect. IF they play the cards right they might be able to get 2 of them however the problem is if they wait to long both Chicago teams have pitchers they are looking to move as well.

Don't be surprised tho if they also talk deals about guys playing in the majors right now as well like Jake Dunning,Mike Kickham or Hector Sanchez and a prospect

Getting anything cool at all for Nolasco would be cool.

O we will be-SF and Baltimore want him bad and are willing to pay some for him. The only thing that could hurt us is if we drag this along and the Chicago teams start trading(Feldman,Peavy,Garza) and we loose the power

How about Ricky to the Dodgers?

Talk is LAD and Miami have been talking all day and a deal could be very soon.

Looks like it will include rights to Silverio as well as alot more. It will NOT be a salary deal tho,LAD wants a SP and sees Nolasco as a cheaper option than Garza plus can also keep him away from other NL West teams

That's interesting. They have some good bullpen arms (Chris Withrow, Yimi Garcia) and a couple of starters that could be worth a look.

Wow, I completely forgot about Silveiro.

What names are we hearing out of LA? Please no more OF's!

Hearing arms like Chris Reed,Onelki Garcia,Chris Withrow as well as rights to Silverio. It won't be a salary dump tho, they have already told teams they want high upside prospects and that they have alot of teams interested

[QUOTE]@hankschulman: Hearing Dodgers are on blitzkrieg to get Nolasco. Makes sense. They can absorb $$$, keep him away from #sfgiants, #padres. Could be soon./QUOTE]

If we get a starter we're gonna be freaking stacked. I know you can never have too many starting pitchers but still.

Deal would include IFA Cash(Future Considerations) and possibly Juan Pierre to LAD

The Juan Pierre part is not confirmed however there was minor talk about it
