The Marlins were just what the doctor ordered for a struggling Roberto Hernandez.

8 straight losses for MIA. Is that bad, Mr Samson?

I watched 75% of the game. There couldn't have been more than 3K people in the stands.

.315/.383/.534 in 81pa since April 18 for Coghlan

.351/.429/.676 in 42pa since he's been starting everyday (last 11g)

The odd thing about this team is that it's on pace for worst ever, yet there are plenty of positives. Like, if you take away the crappy veterans, there is a young core. Especially if Chris Coghlan decides to be good again, which it seems like he's interested in doing. Also, Koehler is pitching well.

But where does Coghlan play next year? Third? That's a lefty heavy lineup if so (assuming Yelich is in it.)

          Cogs, LH
          Dietrich, LH
          Ozuna, RH
          Stanton(?) RH
          Morrison, LH
          Yelich, LH
          Brantley. LH
          Hechavarria, RH
          LHP Chad James-Jupiter Hammerheads-

          5-15 3.80 ERA (27 starts) 149.1IP 173H 63ER 51BB 124K

              That is very true.
              --------------------
And I don't know why, but it seems the Marlins have no interest in Coghlan playing the infield ever again.

My problem with cogs is he's all unsustainable BABIP and power right now. He NEEDS to excel in his plate discipline numbers to be a sustainable offensive threat and those numbers are not doing well even during his hot streak.

                But here's hoping

                      Haha k.

Very exciting that Coghlan might have a positive impact on this team going forward

                        That's outstanding!

                        StubHub?

Where'd you get those? StubHub? That sounds like a good deal if I can stuff my face, watch BP and witness history (worst record ever in baseball).
