Our "catcher of the future" is pretty bad himself defensively, and is rather mediocre as a hitter.

I think it's toadally awesome that they brought D2 up to face a RHP

D2. Ya know, cause his initials.

I'm kinda confused... why toadally(or was that not on purpose)

and I doubt it has anything to do with a RHP being up, just worked out that way

Also expect us to draft a HS Catcher early in the draft this year, heard one report that they were considering Jon Denney,HS Catcher from OK at #6 but that has cooled.

If he is there at #35,I could see us grabbing him.

Other names we could be looking at with Rd 2 or Rd 2S

              Chris Okey C HS Florida
              Jeremy Martinez C HS Cali
              Brian Navaretto C HS Florida

Overall this is a VERY Deep draft for catchers tho

                  I don't know why you're confused. Now I'm confused.

I'm happy they brought him up. I don't really see any downside (but as Mainge mentioned he's not done well vs LHP).

I think he's asking why you spelled totally the way you did

Siverio has to spend 90 days on the active roster to lose his Rule V status next year. We have 11 players on the disabled list. 11!
                      LHP Chad James-Jupiter Hammerheads-

                      5-15 3.80 ERA (27 starts) 149.1IP 173H 63ER 51BB 124K

Actually he doesn't lose it,it will just go over to next year. As long as there is medical evidence, which he has it is allowed

He can spend the whole year on the DL however next year he will be subject to Rule 5 stuff again

To prevent the abuse of the rule 5 draft, the rule also states that the draftee must be active for at least 90 days. This keeps teams from drafting players, then "hiding" them on the disabled list for the majority of the season. For example, if a rule 5 draftee was only active for 67 days in his first season with his new club, he must be active for an additional 23 days in his second season to satisfy the rule 5 requirements

Above league average in 2012, 2010, 2008. He was bad in 2011 and 2009.

I think it would be weird if they just gave up on him because of that.
