        • History was already a word there. Not sure bout what the parentheses add mid-word.

                      2003 Detroit Tigers 14-39 1
                      1962 New York Mets 15-38 2
                      Game 54 Results:

                      62 NYM: WIN

Fun Fact: The Marlins are currently on pace to have the most losses in modern MLB history.
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

                        • Daft, in 2004 Mike Redmond hit .179/.258/.268 vs. left handed hitting. This which was alarming because coming into that year, he was a career .332/.390/.443 hitter against them. However, this was caused by a .191 babip. He returned to his usual success rate vs. them the following season.

It's amazing how at every turn these guys fail to accomplish any of their goals. It's laughable. It must suck to realize you're not good at your job.

                            • I feel like it's hard to realize you're not good at your job when you've been bringing in money hand over fist since you walked in the door

also, seems like the 1962 Mets got hot around this time right?... feel like I've seen a lot of Ws for them over the last 10 days

There are ways to make dump trucks full of cash in the business of baseball without being despised by 98% of the fan base.
