If Miller and Maybin can fail then so can Olt/Profar.

I don't think trading Stanton is as big of a no brainer as some people think.

I think it's also possible that season ticket holders go from 5K (lol) to 2K (lofl).

Locking up Stanton is a show of good faith to the remaining fans AND protects against the downside of Olt and Profar doing a Miller/Maybin.

The worst AA team has some nice young talent to watch.

      Ya know?

The owner is hiding in a fucking suite. It's that bad right now.
But I said worth looking forward to watching. Forward. Can be interesting at some point. There was discussion about the rebuilding process that pretty much assumed this current rebuild was already a failure.

I also don't think we'd even be discussing trading Stanton if the Marlins had won 2 of these 1 run games and Stanton had Justin Uptons line through 8 games.

I still would be. I believe others would too because we don't believe he'll be locked up.

Is the "no shit" thing really necessary?

Is informing anyone on this message board that prospects can bust really necessary?

seems possible. At worst, that team is slick as fuck in the field.

Plus defenders at 3B, SS, 2B, CF and LF. Possibly RF too.
I think Ruggiano is too old for that lineup.

                  Ozuna's a possibility. Or Silverio.

It's nice we aren't bitching about shitty defense for once (outside of Olivo, I think it's been pretty good, right?)

Those of us wanting to trade Stanton have little to do with his current line. We all know what kind of player he is.

Some of the youngsters look pretty good so far. The issue is extra base hits right now. Certainly like what I see out of Adeinny and Brantly for sure though. Would love to see Skip start getting some looks. He's going to strikeout a bunch but he's got some good pop and could provide a few XBH for the boys.

And it's funny how different things are from a year ago. I was beyond frustrated with the team last year and this year, the W/L doesn't bother me. I just like to see the young guys go out there and give a damn. It's a nice change of pace. Of course I don't want them losing 120 games, but it's nice to see some effort out there. Also if retreads like Slowey keep pitching well, we're gonna have some nice trades to make in July

                    • First of all, props to nonames on a MGMT reference.

Second, fuck it, I'm on the Free Skipworth bandwagon. No reason he shouldn't at least catch a game and get some starts at 1B. We know what Greg Dobbs brings to the table.

                      • Judging by his size I am guessing whatever he brings to the table is probably fried and has a nice helping of gravy.
