Mainge, common.
It sounds like Beef is saying "hey guys, this is a fun team to watch because we have some nice young talent."
The worst AA team has some nice young talent to watch.
Ya know?
The owner is hiding in a fucking suite. It's that bad right now.

seems possible. At worst, that team is slick as fuck in the field.

Plus defenders at 3B, SS, 2B, CF and LF. Possibly RF too.
C: Brantly
1B: Morrison
2B: Hechevarria
SS: Profar
3B: Olt
LF: Yelich
CF: Marisnick
RF: Ruggiano
With a possible starting pitching staff of Fernandez/Eovaldi/Perez/Alvarez/Heaney
Has a chance of being at least interesting in the near future, and leaves the team with a much clearer direction moving forward. We have a good deal of outfielders who can compete. That lineup would be in desperate need of power obviously, but if Profar/Olt can prove that they are legit, it's not a major league worst lineup. Add in random cheap free agent signings, and maybe we actually start to resemble something of a baseball team within the near future.
I also have no issue with Stanton staying IF they give him a freaking long term contract ASAP. The trades this offseason really F-ed up the Marlins both short term and possibly long term, but there's a perfect fit out there for the Marlins. Stanton's going to want out at some point, regardless of whether that's now or in four years. I doubt we're going to find as perfect grouping of prospects and perfect need filling positions with a team that would be willing to overpay (Yes, Daniels is smart, but he knows how good Stanton is) than Texas.
This has been known since the fire sale happened. If the Marlins don't make that trade with Texas in July, we're almost certainly not getting a deal nearly as good within the next few years before Stanton bolts.
--------------------
Wow, that ended up longer than I expected.
TL;DR: Trade Stanton to Texas SOON or sign him to a long term contract NOW.
This waiting out process the Marlins seem to have decided on is just useless. The fans already hate the team. Who cares if you lose the last few fans by trading Stanton if it actually makes your team better within the next few years? You'll get those fans back if you start winning.

I doubt your rotation is in any real order, but Eovaldi is never going to be a #2 starter.
We also have Nicolino coming. And Turner.
Although I feel like we're gonna do that thing where we forget Turner is only 21 and keep forcing him to try to be ready and then give up on him too soon. I mean, we could leave him in AAA for the next 2 years and not have him in our rotation until opening day of 2015 and he'd only be 23.

Forgot Turner. That was a dumb one. Wasn't done intentionally. Nicolino is one of the easy to forget people in the Blue Jays trade. He's still in A ball, so he's got some time to prove himself legit.
I definitely feel Turner is a good long term #2/3 starter.
Fernandez/Perez/Turner/Heaney/Alvarez/Eovaldi
Not the mention the Conley's, Lowell's, Sanabia's, etc... we have in the minors. I'd be fine with that, and I'd expect to find three of those guys work out.
I've been one of the biggest Stanton supporters since he bashed in Greensboro, but Loria's purge means he's probably no longer viable within our long term plans (as we'd actually have to start WINNING within the next three/four years without trading him).
Texas has made way...way too much sense for too long. The longer we wait this thing out, the better the chance that Olt/Perez/Buckel/Martin/Profar make it to the majors and become good enough major leaguer's that such a trade isn't viable anymore (they could obviously just as easily bust, but I feel confident in all of these five players to be pretty good).
