People on a sidewalk yelling aren't talking to you. Like, I mean you specifically. They are yelling in some general direction of someone they want to do something, or not do something, or they are yelling for tv cameras. You can just walk by them because they aren't talking to you. This boob is telling people directly in a regular voice, hey, free the marlins. That's even less likely to be effective than yelling like a boob on a sidewalk but it's extra annoying to those who you speak directly to.

    Free the Marlins, guy.

    Rock on.

Daft, can you list some things you respond to with "rock on"?

If you told someone they had the right to remain silent and they said rock on, would you taze them?

This guy could have been doing the same thing, but just because the reporter worded it as if the guy went up to specific people you view it differently. I don't see it as any different than if teachers were having some protest and just yelling they want better benefits or something while I walk by them. Didn't this technically accomplish what you just stated? They got the attention of newspaper reporters with their actions.

Like when those people were protesting the Dolphins a year ago, they were saying "Honk if you want Ireland fired" or "Don't support the Dolphins"

They weren't telling random people who have no control over what's going on to "fire Ireland"

someone please make Erick stop. I'm begging you guys.

                    "free the marlins"

What a TOTALLY weird thing to yell at Opening Day after payroll was cut $60 million in the 2nd year of a new ballpark.

He didn't yell it. He said it directly to passers by.

But it'd prob still be a kinda weird thing to yell.

Daft, all joking aside, as a police officer, do you think these kids or Samson are more likely giving the more accurate side of this story?

                          See above.

It's not weird to be saying "free the Marlins." It's weird to be telling people to "free the Marlins"

                          People can't.

I've been with a friend that got kicked out for the usual heckling the opposing outfield. All he did was just tell Bryce Harper he got terrible hair cuts and crap like that and the usher in our section made him leave. He cursed a few times but nothing out of this world.

Yeah, see, that last sentence explained it then.

All it takes is a couple moms complaining.

They were walking around with jean shorts and signs. That prob got the attention.

What if you were walking by a mob of boobs (speaking of which, weird that Chewie hasnt meantioned the Putin boob protest) who were yelling that they want better benefits, and then one tapped you on the shoulder and said, "hey uhhhh, I want some better benefits"...?
