in 2011 Silverio had 42 2b, 18 3b, and 16 HR. thats alot of XBH. Doesn't walk much but hits for solid avg. Will be 26 in May so it's pretty much now for him. I think h has the making of a solid 4th OF.

Also have to realize, their competition is

OF - Gorkys, Petersen, Smolinski, I guess that Mahoney guy they signed
6/7 RP - Reed, Hatcher, Jennings, camp invites

I say GIVE them jobs for 2 months cause everyone else can be stashed in AAA or doesn't matter (looking at you Gorkys)

        I think there's a possibility he's more than that.

Sure. He also falls into, they can stash him for 3 years in AAA category

2 high upside picks and both have a really good chance to stick. Silverio will start the year on the DL so Petersen and Gorkys will still be the backups at the start

Lara is a nice arm that prolly would have went #1 if they didn't go for Fields who is ready for the MLB. He will battle with Jennings,Olmos,Maine,Dayton for the 2nd LOOGY job and if LeBlanc doesnt make the rotation he could just be stashed like the Cubs did with Castillo(Just let him pitch in mopup duty-we should have tons of that in 2013)

So we should be keeping both these guys then and not sending them back? If so, good to hear.

                  Any word on 3B situation?

What third base situation. They signed Kouzmanoff weeks ago.

Although they should sign Stewart too.

                      That's a situation right there.

They got offers out to both Reynolds and Stewart

Both tho however want more years then we are offering

As for Rule 5,Silverio is almost a lock to stay unless he shows that he hasnt recovered. He will be on the roster tho on Opening Day,but on the DL. Lara is more of a who knows-he has a great arm but not sure if we keep him around just to hold onto him. We got 3 LOOGY in Double A(Dayton,Olmos,Lazo) who could be up in 2014 so Lara isn't really a lock

We offered 1 year and 2 with team option

Reynolds has some nasty pop, but I don't think I go 4 years on him. Imagine how much damage he can do when they pitch around Stanton, if he hits 5th.

Any idea on how much $ is being offered?

I'd be surprised if Stewart gets a guaranteed deal.

If I was Reynolds' agents, I would expect 3 years guaranteed. He isn't a total shlub.
