Stop lying to yourself that I’m a fan of Sherman to make your arguments better.

Sherman’s a complete joke if an owner. I’m just more self aware than you are. I know that I’m still going to follow the team and support the players on the field. I didn’t purchase a 10 game plan last year for the first time in years and it was 100% because of Broke Bruce. I didn’t fior one second consider getting a 10 game plan this year either.

See you on the forum on Opening Day!
Clown, Glenn geffner was a team employee. Beat writers or columnists are not. If you think this team will then pull the e credentials of major media organizations down here because the writers asked fair, tough, pressing questions, you’re wrong, and if they do the team will fairly get eviscerated even further and make a bigger issue out of it. There is 0 reason why they can’t ask pressing follow ups when Sherman is lying to their face and evading questions

no one expects Kyle sielaff to ask tough questions and quite frankly that’s kind of fair as a team employee play by play guy

IMO, the goal should be 2027 to try and compete. If you have a healthy Sandy and Eury, if Thomas White is what we think he is. Then you fill out 4th and 5th spot with the likes of Cabrera, Weathers, Garrett, Max Meyer, Fulton, Noble Meyer, Mazur, Snelling. Send some of those guys to the pen, trade others for offense. Develop your hitters for 2 years, then actually spend significant money to fill out the lineup in the 2026-2027 Offseason.

The spending will never happen, but this should be the plan based on the way they've gone about things so far.
I mean, at this point, their target date is 2087. Why not hoard more prospects? lol

I saw that interview….it was absurd and laughable.

Problem is, the people covering the team worth a damn aren't part of major media organizations. The Miami Herald can't be bothered.

          • No one who was at that presser wants to lose their job because Sherman made a call to someone who owes him a favor. They asked tough questions. About as tough as they could without jeopardizing their job.

Anyway, Fangraphs projects Marlins to win 71 games and gives them a 1.5% chance to make the playoffs. So……..they’re saying there’s a chance haha.

that would create about 10x the amount of a shit storm as just having to answer tough questions, so that wouldnt happen. There is 0 reason why any of the non-marlins employee writers/columnists couldnt have pressed him with follow ups.

                • that answer on sandy by bendix could not have been more amateur hour by the way. how the fuck do you not have a better way of answering that question? everything this organization does is just such minor league stuff.

Between the Sandy answer, bragging about minor league signings, and bragging about making the most trades over the last year due to blowing up the entire team pretty much, just a ridiculous display. Had to immediately google how old sherman was to see how much longer we might have to put up with this stupid shit.

                    • Cubs DFA Canario. Marlins should be all over that.

probably worth a claim but not exactly a good sign for a young bat to be DFA'd before a single spring game is played.

Unfortunately that also probably means no inside info. Which removes basically the only source there was for the Marlins.
