He is getting an absolute fuck ton of the benefit of the doubt that he doesn’t deserve at all based pretty much exclusively off of being from Tampa as if he was running things there.

He has proven absolutely nothing. What has he done in the year he has been here? He hasn’t signed a single free agent outside of the disaster of Anderson. His trades outside of the admittedly great rogers deal have been terrible to lackluster. He hasn’t really
hit any of these deals out of the park and none of the acquisitions are even really close to big league ready.

you're just such a delusional homer with a complete inability to view this team for what it is objectively. It is absurd to say after the last year that you have trust in bendix for any reason other than blind faith and delusion.

He has done nothing but tear down the major league roster to bring the farm system all the way up from terrible to mediocre. He drafted a guy in the first round who immediately broke his back. His first year was nothing short of a disaster, and this franchises outlook is nothing more than miserable right now.

He made 1 solid trade in Rogers and sold low on almost every single other piece. Luzardo, Arraez, Jazz, hell even rogers was at his absolute lowest value and the orioles were just dumb. all major pieces that could have brought back a solid haul if traded when value was maximized, and he waited until their value was at it's lowest. Hell you could even argue tanner scott was sold at his lowest value since he probably could have gotten more had he traded him in the offseason.

Not a single guy we got for all of those major pieces have brought back a consensus top 50-75 prospect. They didnt have to be major league ready, but they were both not top prospects and not close to major league ready. A truly impressive haul of young fliers, congrats if that gives you huge confidence in this fucking nerd running the team. The best we have to show for it are a few guys who sneak into the back end of a top 100 list occasionally depending on whose list it is plus a fucking awful major league product.

Any faith in bendix is solely due to his background with the rays and your failure to be anything other than a complete homer, not anything he has actually done. This team is in significantly worse of a position now than it was when he took over last year.

It’s impossible to grade Bendix one way or the other at this point. We should not have confidence in him just because he was around folks who were competent once. The only thing we know about him is he’s pretty terrible with the media.

I too would like to see some free agents but spending just to spend is dumb.

I think a great offseason would have been Conforto(Dodgers, $17 million), Tyler O'Neil(Orioles, $16,500,000 per year/3 years), Pete Alonso(same deal Giants have Chapman; $18 million for one year with two option years), Bregman(4 years, $140 million), and Flaherety(2 years, $25 million).

They’ve been so dumb with their moves (or lack thereof) and slashing an already low payroll that they’ll be forced to spend just to spend to avoid grievances/jeopardizing revenue sharing.

i mean attendance was somehow up last year and they’re cutting payroll even more? We don’t even have the excuse of attendance down so we can’t afford things…..There’s no excuse except for lining Bruce’s pockets more.

I would hope so. He traded arraez, jazz, luzardo, Scott, hoeing, burger, berti, okert, puk, brazoban, chargois, bell, dlc and rogers in the last year. Also, the mlb roster was thoroughly mediocre and not bad but with a bad farm. Now we have a terrible major league team and a mediocre farm. They are just as bad of an organization, just less interesting to watch and alienating even more fans along the way. Boy genius
