That 41 game series in Tampa will be a doozy.

I enjoy the fact that we play AL teams throughout the year.

I do not. Interleague in and of itself has ran its course and is no longer interesting.

I do not understand how playing more different teams (and thus being able to see more players more often) is an less interesting than the alternative.

Maybe we could call up all 40 guys and play ourselves? That may be better than what we are watching now.

Why not just more games with the west/central?

Because cable networks who have to televise games would never go for it. Would an NL owner really want to pay for two trips to each city in California.

Kind of a silly argument. They have made trips to all the AL West stadiums before. Its not like Loria is deciding between US Airways and Frontier on Expedia, they are chartered flights.

I still don't understand why playing teams that you haven't played should be less interesting to fans.

Once every what, four years? A more balanced schedule will increase travel costs period. The only reason MLB hasn't gone to an East-West format like the NBA and NHL is tradition.
