I am so angry about not buying him out I can't read. Rodriguez is still retarded.

Additionally, and even more problematic, if they do wait until after NEXT season, he then has a guaranteed win $8+ million arbitration hearing in front of him leaving the Marlins with no leverage. That would scale him to Cabrera and he'd easily get to $8-12-16-18-20-22, plus let's say a $4 million signing bonus, to make it a nice round 6/$100.

They blew $10-15 million by not signing him to an 8 year deal before this offseason, and if they wait till post 2013, they blow another $15-20 million for the same seasons.

This does not make sense for a budget conscious team.
